Weatherwise, it hasn’t been all that quiet since the last December snow storm that dumped a foot of the white powder. We’ve had a couple of inches here and there, and just three days ago on Saturday we received a persistent blanket of six inches or so. Persistent because it is still covering the grass and the paths. Persistent because it is still clinging to the sides of the trees. It is pretty. It keeps the squirrels from digging for my bulbs and the roots of my plants. They’ll be fine since they’ve mastered the thievery of bird food. But we’re still waiting to get walloped. Other parts of Massachusetts have seen two feet and up. Can it please be our turn? How about tomorrow, will it bring that Nor’easter the weather people started talking about over the weekend? Or will it fizzle once again? Snow outside, logs in the fire, wouldn’t that be nice?
More white stuff?

Oh I agree, it would have been nice. But alas after hours of rain and slush, the great nor’easter turned out to be quite a dud. We did get a few inches when all was said and done, but certainly not the 6-10 inches I was hoping for. Oh well, perhaps next time.
